Mission: To be the preferred home for men and women of all faiths who wish to live their later years in an environment with dignity, individuality and the highest attainable level of independence.

RECOGNITION & AWARDS


OKAHSA AWARDS

2009
Saint Simeon’s Episcopal Home was honored with two awards at the 2009 OKASHA Annual Awards Program.  Each year the Oklahoma Association of Homes and Services for the Aging (OKAHSA) recognizes and honors the efforts of individuals and member communities for their dedication, innovation and commitment to the aging services profession.

Saint Simeon’s received the Excellence in Community Involvement Award, which is given to an organization for providing a benefit to their community and its residents.  Saint Simeon’s was recognized for its efforts in disaster management education.

The Unsung Hero Award in the Environmental Services, was given to a Saint Simeon’s housekeeper.  Employed as a housekeeper at Saint Simeon’s for over two years, she became a role model and mentor for the housekeeping and laundry staff.  She demonstrated her commitment to the Residents every day.

2010
Phyllis & George Dotson received the Trustee of the Year Award for 2010 at the Annual OKAHSA Awards Program on March 11, 2010.  Together they served as Co-Chairs for the successful “Our Next Chapter:  Building with Love!” Capital Campaign which raised $23.2MM for the construction of the new Assisted Living & Wellness Centers.  George was selected by the Board of Trustees to serve as Chair of the Building Committee.  Phyllis led committees for furnishings, donor recognition plaques and landscaping.  The Dotsons have been fervent ambassadors for Saint Simeon’s for over 25 years.


ONE AWARDS FINALIST

Saint Simeon’s was chosen as a  finalist for the 2009 Oklahoma Nonprofit Excellence (ONE) Awards, as one of the top organizations in the state of Oklahoma in the category Seniors.

Sponsored by the Oklahoma Center for Nonprofits, the ONE awards honor Oklahoma nonprofits statewide for their excellence and inspiration to other nonprofits who strive for the same outstanding performance.

2000 - 2010
Saint Simeons Episcopal Home has been honored for 11 consecutive years by Oklahoma Magazine as the “Best of the Best” Nursing Home in Tulsa.
