 Mission of the Auxiliary
To enrich and enhance the lives of Saint Simeon’s Residents.

“Our Home is Built on Love” is more than a slogan at Saint Simeon’s. An enthusiastic group of dedicated volunteers – the Saint Simeon’s Auxiliary – demonstrates this everyday. Since 1961 this volunteer organization has been enriching and enhancing the lives of Saint Simeon’s Residents. Each year the members of the Auxiliary provide over 2,500 hours of volunteer service to the Home.

By becoming a member you are supporting the many committees and projects sponsored by the Auxiliary.

A major focus of the Auxiliary involves planning, coordinating and carrying out special programs designed for the Residents:

  • Tree of Dreams-fulfilling Resident wishes and performing random acts of kindness
  • Resident’s Library-maintaining and increasing a collection of over 2,500 books
  • Education Programs- planning and offering programs for Residents, families and the community
  • Landscape Committee- helping with planning, planting and maintaining the beautiful grounds, courtyards and many flower beds

The Auxiliary is proud to sponsor special events at the Home for Residents and family members including the Ice Cream Social with the Tulsa Community Band, the Fall “Oktoberfest” Cookout, and the Residents’ Christmas Parties. Equally important is volunteer time spent visiting one-on-one with Residents.

The Auxiliary holds regular meetings in the Common Room at Saint Simeon's on the second Tuesday of each month at 1:00 p.m. from September to May.  All Residents, family members and friends are welcome to attend!
