   Saint Simeon's Auxiliary News

The April Auxiliary meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, April 10th. The meeting will be held in the Multi-Media Room at 10:00 a.m. The guest staff presenter will be Kathy Hinkle, Education and Training. Kathy will discuss her role in Saint Simeon’s Continuing Quality Improvement (CQI) program, as the staff trainer and her role in the gardening programs.

The Annual Luncheon will be held Friday, April 26, 2002 at 11:30 a.m. in the Common Room. Chairs Betty Rheingans, Adele Garren and Linda Paul are planning a Luau theme for the lunch. Please mark your calendars and help us celebrate our success, install officers and recognize many wonderful volunteers.

At the March meeting the Auxiliary approved new and exciting membership and dues levels with added benefits. Auxiliary President Gayle Eby is generously underwriting the production and printing of a brochure that will promote the Auxiliary and outline the membership levels. You should receive the brochure with the membership form along with the Spring Luncheon invitation.

The Auxiliary is selling a beautiful collection of Ashworth Ironstone. The ad for this sale is on page 7. The entire collection or individual pieces would be a very attractive addition to any home. Funds from the sale will help support the work of the Auxiliary.

Donations Needed by Life Enrichment Program

Life Enrichment would greatly appreciate donations of the following items for resident activities:

Cassette Tapes and CD’s—Big Bands, Classical, Country, Oldies, Jazz, Pop, Frank, Bing, Perry, Tony…

Vintage Clothing—anything 1950’s or earlier, especially hats and jewelry for Reminiscent Therapy.

Old Calendars with pretty pictures—these can be used for a variety of projects.

Toys for the toy boxes used by visiting children. Toys must be new, no small parts that can be swallowed, and please no toy weapons. Great items would include wooden puzzles, books, Fisher Price and Playschool toys.
