The May Auxiliary meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, May 8th, 10:00 a.m. in the
Multi-Media Room. The guest staff presenter will be Karen Stanhope, Human
Resources Director and Administrator of the Health Care Center. Karen will
discuss staffing and employee development. This is the last regularly scheduled
meeting until August 2002.
By the time you receive this newsletter, the Annual Luncheon will have already
occurred. The Luncheon was held on Friday, April 26th. At the time of this
writing, reservations were going very well. The agenda called for the
election of officers, approval of the 2002—2003 annual budget, and recognition
of several special volunteers. In the June Quill we will report the
results of the meeting.
The Auxiliary’s new membership and benefits program seems to be very popular.
We have received many membership renewals and a generous number of the “Friend”,
“Family” and “Lifetime” levels. Membership fees are so important to the
work of the Auxiliary. Thank you to those who have joined. If you have not
renewed your annual membership or want to join for the first time, please submit
payment by July 15, 2002 so we can list you in the Membership Directory.

Have
you traveled to or lived in another country? We would like to invite you to come
share your travel or living experiences abroad with our residents. We would
enjoy seeing your pictures, slides, homemade movies, as well as any collected
trinkets, art or artifacts.
In
addition, we are seeking donations of travel posters. Please call Teresa Reno at
425-3583, ext. 262 if you have travel posters or want to make a presentation.
