Quill of the Hill

Volume 37 Issue 6    June  2002     Page 2

Ruth Boone is so active that it's hard to keep up!

She's always running here and there.

She goes out a' jogging and she cleans up the grounds,

The place is always spotless when she's finished her rounds

She has a music talent that she likes to share.

We love to hear that piano player!

Dr. Boone's on the internet and searching his roots,

  His family history's a book!

He keeps a stamp collection, and he reads by the

    hour

He's got a winning attitude, he never looks dour,

And at a poker game you know he is no schnook,

  We're glad Watonga he forsook!

Ruth and Doc you each are a star

You are both gems exceedingly rar(e)

We all love you more than film noir

We're glad to have you here today!

 Jaunita spells enthusiasm capital "E"

She really knows how to have fun

She keeps her friends in stitches at each game  or party

You'll never find a jollier cheerleader than she

And you know that gal's nearly always on the run

Her attitude is next to none!

Now Fran has a heart that is as big as the sky

She's just so neighborly and all.

When someone new moves in, our Fran will always stop by

If there's any way to help someone, then she'll surely try.

Their new kid jitters she will quickly try to quall,

With her sweet style and southern drawl.

Fran and Jaunita, you are both stars

You bring smiles and hearty "har hars"

We are so glad that you are ours

We're glad to see you here today!

Dr. Major is a learned man and often expounds

 On a variety of things.

Computers, wine and physics, why his knowledge abounds

His musical collection is a thing that astounds

He's traveled far and wide and to the lands of kings.

And what a savoirfaire he brings!

And now the lovely Edith is the last we'll recall

Her gentle spirit and her humor show.

She shares her love and patience and her kindness  with all

She gave a lovely painting to adorn this great hall

To ask God's blessings on his servants here below

So that our spirit still will grow.

Shining stars are Edith and John

All day and from dark until dawn.

But we must stop before you all yawn,

And say just what we've got to say ---

We're glad to have you here today!
