May has been another busy month for the day center. We have weeded all of our raised beds and have planted tomatoes (so far the rabbits have not eaten our plants). We plan to plant more vegetables and flowers.

Thanks to everyone who gave school supplies to the Afghan children. The Red Cross will pick up the supplies on May 30^th. We are having a lot of fun counting the supplies and getting the box ready to ship. Collecting the school supplies brought back memories of our school days. It was exciting as a child to get all new school supplies and we know the Afghan children will be just as excited.
