Saint Simeon’s Auxiliary News

The Resident Christmas Parties were held on Sunday, December 15 and everyone had a wonderful time. Residents and guests were treated to the vocal talents of Tulsa's own Debbie Campbell. Everyone enjoyed cookies and punch and Santa Claus presented each resident in attendance with a sack of assorted chocolate candies. The Auxiliary provided Santa with the chocolates to hand out.

A big thank you to Christmas Party Co-chairs, Barbara Van Hanken and Jeanne Fishpaw for planning this year's parties. Also a special thank you to staff member and active Auxiliary member Glenna Robinson for all of her efforts. Last, but not least, thank you to Auxiliary members Judy Lawson, Karen Garren, Linda Furman, Jeanne Fishpaw, Paula Owens, and Reece and Ruth Boone for preparing the chocolate gift sacks.

We also want to thank the individual chairpersons for the Christmas Tree Trimming parties and the many friends they invited to help. Your efforts help make the Home beautiful during the holiday season. Tree Trimming Party Chairs were:  Jaunita Davis and Charlene Fabian in Crossroads Parlor; Linda and Jim Furman in the Memory Center; Don Betts and Jack Ward in the Health Care Center; Irene Armstrong and Marilyn Riggs at Adult Day Services; and, Reece and Ruth Boone with special assistance provided by Gene and Ruth Anderson and Fr. Boyce in Eckel Parlor.

The January meeting of the Auxiliary is scheduled for Wednesday, January 8th at 10:00 a.m. in the Saint Simeon's Multi-Media Room. All members are invited. If you are not yet a member, please visit our meeting to see how you can help.
