Saint Simeon's Auxiliary News

The year is flying by with only two months left in the Auxiliary's official fiscal year. The Annual Luncheon is scheduled for Friday, April 25th. Mark your calendars! Annual Luncheon co-chairs Betty Rheingans and Adele Garren are already making plans for a great time.

Karen Garren and Gayle Eby volunteered to take the lead in upgrading the Saint Simeon's Library. The idea to update the library was brought to the attention of the Auxiliary by residents, and Auxiliary members, Dr. Reece and Ruth Boone. The Auxiliary believes this is a wonderful project for the membership to take on and several members have already offered their expertise and assistance.

You can help by donating new, or almost new, hardback books, up to date reference materials - such as encyclopedias, history series, health series - and any other quality reading materials. The library will even have a paperback book section so if you have paperbacks that are in good condition, please consider donating them to the Saint Simeon's library.

The only type of books that are not needed at this time are the Reader's Digest Condensed Books. We already have a very generous supply.

Donated books and reference materials can be dropped off in the Home's Administrative Office, in Paula's office in Assisted Living, or any nurses station. We want to properly acknowledge all donations so please leave your name, address and telephone number along with the book(s).

The February meeting of the Auxiliary is

scheduled for Wednesday, February 12th at

   10:00 a.m. in the Saint Simeon's Multi-Media

Room. All members are invited. If you are not

yet a member, please visit our meeting to see

   how you can help.
