The children’s toy boxes located throughout the Home are filled with brand new toys and books thanks to a special donation of funds by the Saint Simeon’s Auxiliary. We are blessed to have many children visit each week and we are sure they will enjoy the new toys and books.
“What did you say?” Saint Simeon’s will be offering Hearing Screenings on May 8th. If you feel your loved one may have a hearing loss and needs an evaluation, please contact Chris Smith at 425-3583, ext. 204.
Kennie and Patricia Conn recently made a wonderful donation to the Home and asked the funds be used to provide massage services to residents. What a great idea! To date, 13 residents have received a massage from Pam Martin, a Certified Massage Therapist, as a result. The stimulation of warm, human touch is nurturing to the body and spirit and Pam’s visits have been very well received. Appointments with the masseuse can be made directly with Pam Martin at 371-7938.
Teresa Reno will be happy to assist you with planning a birthday party for your loved one. To make things easy for you, we have designed a birthday package, which includes a decorated cake, one dozen helium-filled balloons, napkins, plates, utensils, cups, punch and ice cream. Package charges depend upon the size of the cake and can be added to your resident's monthly statement:
- 1/4 sheet cake (serves 16-20)- with or without filling $45.00
- 1/2 sheet cake (serves 32-36)- with or without filling $55.00
- Full sheet cake (serves 80) - with or without filling $70.00
Life Enrichment staff are available to host parties during the Ice Cream Parlor hours: Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday 2:00-4:00 p.m. and the Memory Center staff will host parties during the 2:30 p.m. Snack Social. All arrangements can be made by contacting Teresa at 425-3583, x221.
