Adult Day Services
--News From Way Down South
During the month of June, we celebrated fun themes with related activities each week of the month. During “Dairy Week” we visited Webers Root Beer Stand and enjoyed root beer floats. During “Father's Day Week” we visited the Harley-Davidson motorcycle shop and for “Wedding Week” we stopped by Merritt's Bakery for some cake and other treats. We are making plans for the 4th of July and will be making special firecracker (they will look like firecrackers-we are not using actual firecrackers) centerpieces for the tables. As you can tell, we continue to enjoy each other during our time together each day.
Jacqueline Jacobs, a Certified Nurse Aide at Adult Day Services, received wonderful news on June 17th. Her son and his wife celebrated the birth of their son, Willis L. Brown, III. Baby Willis was born at 10:31 p.m. and weighed 7 lbs. and 1 oz. Willis III is Jacqueline's fifth grandchild. Congratulations!
The Adult Day Services Support Group will meet on Thursday, July 10th at 1:00 p.m. The support group meetings are scheduled on the second Thursday of each month at St. Dunstan's Episcopal Church. For more information, call Chris Smith at 425-3583 x204.
And a Big THANK YOU!
Thank you Margery and Art Whitt for the wonderful party! Hosting a party for your fellow residents and the staff was a wonderful demonstration of your kindness and appreciation. Thank you for being such caring members of the Saint Simeon's family.
