Saint Simeon's Auxiliary News

The new membership books for the Saint Simeon's Auxiliary are going to print in the near future and should be in the mail to all members by the end of August. A big thank you to everyone who has renewed their membership and a heartfelt welcome to all the first-time members.

Auxiliary projects continue to move forward at a rapid pace. The library is almost ready and the grand re-opening is scheduled for Wednesday, August 13, 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. This special open house will allow residents, families and friends to celebrate the wonderful work of Judy Lawson, Karen Garren, Gayle Eby, Dr. Reece Boone and Lou Anne Harris.

Paula Owens and the Tree of Dreams committee are very busy fulfilling resident wishes and dreams. Individual parties and group outings are all as a result of this exciting new resident-centered program. Please call if you would like to join the fun.

The Ice Cream Social, chaired by Marge Lund and Pody Bost, was a wonderful evening of great music and friends. The ice cream and cookies weren't too bad either! Thanks to Boy Scout Troop 168 for their wonderful service and to Kathy and Dale Knott for bringing Dale's homemade train for kids of all ages to ride in!

It's never too late to sign up to serve on an Auxiliary committee. Please call Karen Garren, Auxiliary President at 747-1725 if you would like to join the fun. If you would like to join Karen, Judy Lawson, Paula Owens, Betty Rheingans as Ice Cream Parlor volunteers, please contact Stephen Mason at 425-3583, ext. 237 for details. Ruth Boone has responded to the call and has become the latest member of the volunteer Ice Cream Parlor servers. Thank you, Ruth!!
